March Mayhem At The El Mocambo Preview-Mar.3rd

March Mayhem at the El Mocambo(2nd floor) is touted to be one of our biggest, and best shows yet!! Below is a review of the artists playing the show. Tickets are 10$ at the door, and the doors open at 7PM. Our photographer for the night will be Scott Eldridge. Also, if you have a canned food item you can bring, please do so for the El Mocambo, as they collect them and feed the less fortunate.
 [The Performers]

NewBreedMC (aka Omari Parsons) is an underground hip hop MC best known for his diverse array witty and intelligent lyrics, he hails from Brampton, Ontario. Lyve & Prospec(7:30)

Helping start the show off with a bang is the duo of Lyve and Prospec. Not much is known about the duo, which gives it a mysterious vibe, but we were told by there management that they have the ability to bring a show to life!! So we are confident that is exactly what they will do.

The Vibonics(8:00)

The Vibonics is a talented 5 piece hip hop band lead by CrosswordMC. Be sure to check them out in the 8PM spot, as there is some serious talent in this line up, and you can take my word when I say you do not want to miss them!!

The band just recently finished completing there line up and are starting to gig regularly They are listed in the alternative/rock/acoustic genre.Dave Matthews Band, Thrice, and Incubus are listed as a few of the guys influence. So you can expect to hear all those types of music when they take the stage in the 9:30PM spot.

Three of the nicest and most talented musician I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The Lyra Transmission is a Christian rock group consisting of Mathew Guevarra on lead vocal and guitar, Ryan Ethier on bass and backing vocals, and Aaron Guevarra on drums and backing vocals. The bands music is the type of song that you will be singing over and over after you hear it. [February.19th-2011 At Marcello's Bar Show Review]

Our first out of town show was a blast!! We had a great time with friends, fans, and bands at Marcello's bar in Streetsville, Ontario!! Just a small line up change in the review below, the band TooNice had snowed in members and could not make the show, but luckily our friend and the lead guitarist for the group House Of Coconuts helped us out in the last minute situation and played a acoustic set of his own in place of TooNice. So a special thanks to him!! Also a big thanks to each and everyone who came out and made the night a great one!!

James Faulkner(10:00)
Opening the show in the 10:00PM spot was singer/songwriter from near by Mississauga James Faulkner. James brought a strong following out to watch him put on one heck of a performance. Without a doubt one of the best solo acts I have personally ever seen. James has a super strong voice and is a true talent with the guitar skills to complement his voice.Below is a clip of James playing live from the night of the show.

Contact James Faulkner At www.MySpace.Com/JamesDavidFaulkner- www.JamesFaulkner.Ca Or "James Faulkner" On Facebook.

Bang Bang You're Dead(10:30)
Up in the 10:30PM spot was Bang Bang You're Dead. The band consists of Rob, Jake, TJ, Dylan, and Andrew. These guys brought a awesome rock sound, with lead singer Rob Coxford incorporating synth into the mix. The band has the strong 1,2  punch when it comes to vocals with guitarist Jake Chirico providing the secondary singing. Bang Bang You're Dead is a very solid band, and I urge you to definitely check them out if you get the chance. You can get a taste of what you will get live by checking out the clip below, it was recorded the night of the show.

Contact Bang Bang You're Dead At www.MySpace.Com/BangBangYoureDeadMusic Or "Bang Bang You're Dead" On Facebook.

Cecil Eugene(11:00)
In the 11:00PM spot was Cecil Eugene. We have to give Cecil a special thanks for playing for us since it was on very short notice. When we were informed that TooNice could not make it, we asked Cecil if he could swing a acoustic set for us, and he was more then happy too. So we extend a special thanks to him. If your wondering why he looks familiar, it's because he is also the lead guitarist in the band "House Of Coconuts" who often plays shows with us as well. If you are a fan of good acoustic songs, you are a fan of Cecil Eugene's solo music. It was a strong, upbeat, catchy set of well written music. Check it out for yourself below, it is a clip live from the show.

Contact Cecil Eugene At www.MySpace.Com/HouseOfCoconuts Or "Cecil Eugene" On Facebook.
Broken City Screams(11:30)

Finishing off the show strong, with a solid performance as per always was the group of guys from King City. Sean, Jonny, Ian, and Kyan. The guys brought there hardcore genre with melodic vocals to Marcello's and did not disappoint. Everyone was into each and every song. The guys were so good that the fans demanded encore after encore, and Broken City Screams did not disappoint and dished out a couple more songs to a eager crowd. Do not miss these guys live, they are a blast and you can catch them playing for Heroic Entertainment again Sunday.February.27th at "The Shop" (www.PartsAndLabour.Ca) and then Thursday.March.3rd at the 2nd floor El Mocambo.Check out a clip of them we took live below and you will see exactly why the crowd wanted a encore multiple times!!

Rob Northy Singer/Guitarist Of  Viral Spiral-From Our Thursday.January.13th-2011 Show At The El Mocambo(2nd Floor)
"Heroic Entertainment is nothing short of heroic when it comes to serving local up-and-coming talent as well as the entertainment industry.  When I walked into the El Mocambo I was greeted by Mike and he knew my name, my last name, and the band I'm with.  I can't even remember all that!  When I needed assistance finding power outlets to tune-up, Mike himself was there to help.  When my band took the stage, Mike was there beside me to make sure everything was going smoothly according to my immediate needs.  As promised, sure enough, there was a photographer clicking away as soon as we started our first song!  That's the best way I can think of compensating a new band on the scene.  Like clockwork, there was a 1-song video and about 100 photos of our set sent to me the next day!  Jeez, why hasn't someone already done this type of thing for bands?!!  His photographer, Max is a great guy and is the first one I'll call when it's time for location/studio shots.  All in all, I'm looking forward to participating in the presentations Heroic Entertainment will be doing in the future.  This company has artists in mind and we wish it all the success for it's "heroic" efforts for this reason - after all, it's the artists that audiences are there to see.  So when a promoter shows that kind of top-drawer concern for the amazing talent cropping up in Toronto, we have to be thankfull!  Mike, you're setting a new standard for band promotion in this good country and I go pale when I reflect on the kind of heart you've shown us on our first gig"

[-January.16th-2011 At Lee's Palace Show Review-]

[Heroic Entertainment Presents: "A Night At The Palace"]
[Intro]
Welcome to the the blog review of our show "A Night At The Palace" that took place on Sunday.January.16th-2011. It was a amazing show, and a great time. Every single artist was at their best. It was a pleasure meeting each and everyone of them, and i can't wait to have the pleasure of having them play another show for us.
We are proud to say that we raised a great amount of money for Sick Kids Childrens Hospital, and they were beyond thankful for it. We would like to thank each band for playing the show for a great cause, and each fan that braved the cold to come have a great night of live music at Lee's palace. All pictures featured in this blog of our performers are from the show itself, courtesy of Max Portughes(www.PixByMax.Com)

[The Performers]

Kevin Martins(8:00)
Starting off our Lee's Palace show in the 8:00 spot was acoustic singer/songwriter Kevin Martins. Kevin brought his strong vocals to us and did not disappoint. He kicked off the show exactly the way we had hoped, and got everybody in the right mood for a great night of music ahead.  He did more then just play great guitar, and sing amazing music, he also kept the crowd chuckling with his great sense of humour. We were very happy to have Kevin Martins open the show for us, and you will definitely be seeing him at another one of our shows in the very near future!!
Contact Kevin Martins At www.MySpace.Com/KevinMartinsMusic or "Kevin Martins Music" On Facebook

Tallulah Darling(8:30)
Starting in the 8:30 spot was the all girl rock band Tallulah Darling, which consist of Elora Taylor on lead vocals/rhythm guitar, Dee Filc on bass/backing vocals, Alex Pearl on lead guitar, and for this show Brec filling in on drums as they look for a permanent female drummer. If you are a female drummer or know someone that is, follow the contact info below and give the girls a message. Tallulah Darling was lead by Elora Taylor's strong vocals, but you can't count out the catchy, up beat music put to her voice by Dee, Alex and Brec. Tallulah Darling played a fun, catchy set that wont be soon forgotten.

Killing Isaac(9:00)
Making there second appearance for Heroic Entertainment were the great guys of Killing Isaac. Joseph, Alex, Jason, Steven,  Robin returned after making there debut with us at our November.28th-2010 "Battle Against Cancer" show at the El Mocambo. Once again the guys put on an amazing show, and left everyone wanting more. The music was solid as usual, and the performance a grand one. One of the highlights of there set was lead singer Joseph Hero leaping up onto one of the window ledge's of the private rooms Lee's Palace has, which is over 8 ft. high. We love having these guys, and they always make it a good night. See you guys soon!!

Broken City Screams(9:30)

Dead Panorama(10:00)
Closing the show off in the 10:00PM spot were the trio, Brandon, Robert, and Adam of Dead Panorama. I would like to thank the guys for allowing each band to use there drum kit, as alot of bands are not always willing to do that. The show was able to go that much smoother, and all the set times stayed accurate due to this kind gesture. As soon as the music began from these 3 guys, you could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. A interesting sight to behold was when bassist Brandon Spray traded places with Drummer Robert Hyde and they performed a few songs like that. Just goes to prove how talented these guys really are!! We look forward to another show with them in the near future.

[--January.13th At The El Mocambo Show Review--]

Another show, another great time!! Each performance was spectacular!! The crowd got bigger, and bigger as the night progressed and it was a great turnout. We want to thank each artist and every single fan that came out to the show. We would also like to thank El Mocambo staff members AD Goldsmith and Victor, and our friend Steph for helping us out by doing the doors for us all night.

[The Performers]

Caitlin Burgess (7:00)

Opening the show with an amazing voice was the very talented acoustic singer/song writer Caitlin Burgess. I can tell you not just from our point of view, but alot of people, including her fellow performers had nothing but good things to say about her. And we are told that one of her fellow performers are in talks with a possible collaboration, so that will be very awesome if it works out!! Caitlin sold copies of her CD at the show, and if you are interested in buying one yourself, you can contact her at the information I list below and ask her how you can go about doing so.
Check Out Caitlin Burgess At www.Myspace.Com/Caitlin Burgess Or "Caitlin Burgess" On Facebook

Sing Bandana Singh
(7:30)
Sing Bandana Singh brought her strong, amazing voice to the stage in the 7:30 spot . Normally a 3 piece group with drums and bass, this show featured Bandana doing a solo act. With every song she sang, you could feel her passion for music come with it. Bandana had a solid crowd of friends to support her, and many new fans after her set was finished.

Batista Feat.Brizz
(8:00)
Making his second appearance for Heroic Entertainment was solo artist Batista, this time performing his own songs with Brizz as his hype man. At our first show November.28th-2010 "The Battle Against Cancer" The positions were reversed. Batista & Brizz brought the calm, soothing feeling in the El Mocambo to a halt as soon as they hit the stage with there solid beats and vocals. Not many shows mix genres, but we here at Heroic Entertainment have no problem doing it, as we have seen the positive outcome each and every time. You can catch Batista & Brizz performing at the El Mocambo again Sunday January.30th for a charity event we are co hosting with Viki Ziemba. Visit our myspace and facebook page for more details!!

Disputa
(8:30)
The trio that is Disputa were absolutely AMAZING!! Very good musicians, each member was amazingly solid on his instrument, including drummer Mario Garay doing the more rare task of singing and drumming. Playing guitar and singing as well was Omar Bruno, who also treated the fans to many amazing guitar solos. Solidifying a solid set was Brian Richards on bass, with rocking bass lines and lots of enthusiasm.
